While we sat in, the eatery became very busy - the owner had no problem inviting people in to try his delicious food. We had fish stew & traditional lamb soup; some of the best food I’d eaten from our trip! Little pots of celebrations were dotted around the room which we could help ourselves to. After we’d had seconds the owner bought over 2 chocolate bars for us, on the house. We’d recommend a food stop here, delicious food & friendly service. Couldn’t ask for more!

  My family stopped in for dinner tonight. I’d read multiple reviews about the excellence of this little place, and we were not disappointed. We had Fish and Chips, Traditional Icelandic... read more Meat Soup and Veggie Noodle Soup. All the food was super tasty, fresh and fairly priced. The broth of the Veggie Soup was amazing, and the fish was way higher quality than is normal for fish and chips.

However, the best thing about the meal was the service. It was understandably packed, and instantly a server made us feel at home and explained the wait time (which was only a couple minutes until seats opened up). Then, they gave us candy bars as we waited (briefly) for our food with the express directions that we could not eat them unless we finished our food. This lovely “extra” not only was enjoyable to eat, but really made us feel like family. After the food arrived, the owner came to make sure the food was good as well.

I haven’t felt this warmly received at a restaurant in a long time, especially as an obviously foreign tourist. The entire meal was just wonderful.

Go here. You won’t regret it.
