When you go, try the traditional fish stew. 100% Icelandic comfort food, so good! And the prices are super reasonable by Reykjavik standards. Highly, highly recommend.

I had the lobster bisque and husband had the seafood stew. Both were good. Mother-in-law has the fish and chips and claimed they were the best she’s ever had. Liked the candy they had out for patrons. Great for a quick and affordable lunch. Note there is limited seating and it can get quite crowded inside.

We ordered fish stew -- bland and uninteresting, tasted fishy, but was not flavorful -- and fish and chips, which were OK at best. The cod was good; the breading not so. Chips were OK. There are much better places in Reykjavik to enjoy a simple meal.

We went several times and also tried the fish and chips which were very good. Friendly service and upon paying at the counter on the way out, we were given full-size candy bars. What a nice perk!

Beef udon soup was also flavorful and delicious with fresh bean sprouts, Chinese cabbage and other veg.

The menu is limited (I believe everything was 1,650 isk or about $13 usd) but everything we ordered was amazing. The inside is cozy (small) and clean, while the outdoor includes a few small tables and chairs.

The owner was extremely friendly and greeted us. He, also, gave us each a local chocolate wafer-like candy bar which was excellent. He joked around with the kids.

We have been here twice already and will try to go again before we leave. This is definitely a place to try!!!

The best bit is at paying, the waiter offered a little prince pollo as a desert. Such a nice touch.
