At least you assume there was some cod in the “stew”. Basically it tasted like flavored mashed potatoes. The seafood stew was flavorful with minimal “seafood”. The broth was tasty. The cashier checking us out was also unpleasant. I thanked her for our surprise “dessert” that she handed me (a chocolate wafer cookie) and she just grunted. Not used to the unsmiling young people these days. Guess they will be waiting tables and running a cash register for the rest of their lives.

I got the meat stew and my friend got seafood stew.... read more Both had thin, under-seasoned broths. My meat was full of big chunks of fat. The roll that came with it was not good. And the service was slightly hostile. Really, the only crappy meal we had in our 11 day visit to Iceland. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Finally got the opportunity to try out the food on my last day, and it is safe to say that it was the best meal I had in Iceland!

I had the beef noodle soup ~ it was the perfect meal to warm up in the cold weather. The broth was perfectly flavored and the noodles had the best consistency!

The atmosphere was homey/welcoming and their customer service was superb. I'm pretty sure I met the owner who came by with chocolate bars for everyone. He was also a gem 🙂
