Was happy to chat us and we also heard him talking to others about what food to try. Such a gem of a place.

Everything has been delicious. Oh, and ask to try the house-made "Lava " sauce. SO YUMMY!!! Beyond the great food, the service is impeccable--warm, inviting and accommodating. The seating area inside is small but there's plenty of room outside and the table turnover inside is quick if you prefer. Either way, if you have to wait, it's totally worth it.

We got given a yummy Icelandic chocolate bar to go. I left my wallet there and in the morning, the really nice man delivered the wallet just before we flew out of Iceland.   We were greeted by the very friendly owner and sat down upstairs.

Ordered the lamb soup, fish & chips, and the chicken noodle (udon) soup.

Everything... read more was great. The chicken noodle soup was the most generous portion, the lamb soup was small, but considering the price of meat it’s what we expected. The fish was somewhere in the middle.

Highly recommend this place if you want to try some of the cultural specialties. And it’s one of the less expensive restaurants.

At the end the owner insisted that we took some free chocolate. He said “you never know how the food will be at a new restaurant, so always take some chocolate”
