Reykjavik Street Food

  Found this by chance after roaming the main street looking for somewhere to eat that wouldn't wipeout my bank account in one swoop! It's small and crowded (always a good... read more sign) but what it lacks in size, certainly makes up for in extremely friendly staff and lovely wholesome food. The fish and chips are not the best I've ever tasted but the freshness of the fish is undeniable. Second visit I tried the fish stew which has a coconut base and is delicious . I liked the little extras that the cafe offered. It all added to the quirky ambience of the place. Definitely a 5 star in my view and a must visit for foodies across the globe.

Thor, our guide, pointed out several of the sights along our route, knew his city well and injected a good bit of humor in the tour. I would say this is a "don't miss" on any visit to Reykjavik.
