Reykjavik Street Food

  A great place to grad a quick bite to eat. Everyone who works there are so friendly and the prices are definitely reasonable. Definitely a must visit.

We decided... read more to give it a try and we found out why it was on the top of the list. We had the lamb soup, seafood soup, and fish and chips. The food was delicious. The price was reasonable. The staffs who worked there were warm and made us felt very welcome. We were happy to have our dinner there. It is definitely a must visit when you are in Reykjavik.

But oh my god, the one in the center of Laugavegur was shocking!
The door was open, so we went in. We had to wait 3-4 minutes before someone appeared.
This Asian man seemed like he had woken up from the longest powernap ever - or he was high.

We asked ‘Do you have a menu? What is the best Icelandic food here?’

He replied, in the body language and enthusiasm of a zombie: We have Mexican burrito. No Icelandic type of food here.

I replied: But... This is Icelandic Street Food, not Mexican Street Food?
To which we got no proper reply, he just shouted something towards the kitchen.

Awful experience, no customer service and we left with a bad feeling. Whoever worked this day should lose his job, no doubt.
