Reykjavik Street Food

After waiting for just about 5 minutes we got our food. I had ordered Fish And Ships. It was very hot, but it was just about as good as it was hot.
The owner welcomes you right as you come in, and you get candy as you get seated!
The owner always comes by our table to check so that everything is good, and it surely was! We got some extra bread for free, an extra drink, also for free, and we also got told that we could have more food for free if we wanted.
One of us even got a hug from the owner!

What more could you possibly want?!

Everything... read more was great. The chicken noodle soup was the most generous portion, the lamb soup was small, but considering the price of meat it’s what we expected. The fish was somewhere in the middle.

Highly recommend this place if you want to try some of the cultural specialties. And it’s one of the less expensive restaurants.

At the end the owner insisted that we took some free chocolate. He said “you never know how the food will be at a new restaurant, so always take some chocolate”

The chips however were tasty however they could’ve been better as they seem to be frozen chips much like McDonald’s chips. Overall it is a great place to eat and a cosy restaurant and is reasonably priced. Would visit again.

Chose it for its traditional Icelandic look and family feel, and both the fish stew and fish and chips... read more were gorgeous - and made with fresh fish, like you’d expect anywhere in Iceland. Free chocolate nibbles on every table and the owner was very friendly, just like his staff. The food was very reasonably priced, well made, and quickly served to customers, and upon learning that we would be flying home that evening, the owner ensured me and my three friends each took three biscuit bars for the journey - free of charge. Could not recommend anywhere more than this place, an absolute must.
