Each dish was about $15, which is very reasonable by local standards. It's all in a casual environment, served in disposable cardboard dishware, by friendly servers and cooks.

  After a cold day of exploring Reykjavík, it’s nice to warm up with a traditional Icelandic meal, such as seafood soup, and not spend a fortune.

The fish had a crispy coating and the seafood soup was full of fish, shrimp and scallops.. The owner even gave us chocolates!

We clearly looked like undecided tourists, stood outside peering through the window on a cold rainy lunchtime - before we knew it the... read more owner himself had opened the door, welcomed us in, seated us with free Celebrations chocolates and talked us through the menu, including his own personal favourites.

Immediately we knew we’d made the right decision - superb friendly service from all staff, the chef himself even brought out dishes when other members of the team were busy serving other customers.

Incredible food - we had the fish stew and meat soup, both highly recommended, although everything looked delicious. (Add black pepper to the stew, the owners recommendation was not wrong!)

All dishes are the same price and great value, cheap compared to most other places to eat in Iceland but no compromise on quality.

We wish we’d found this place sooner in our trip!

The fish and chips was nice. (2050 ISK).
The lobster soup (2050 ISK) was nice too even though they give you about 4 shrimps in it (no lobster as far as I understood). The soup was a little spicy (good) but a bit too watery.
They have a nice corner with many different kinds of sauces, cutlery, napkins, drinking water and cups.
Restrooms and wifi available too.

The service was good too.

  Great location off rainbow street, we sit outside of a patio. Food is very delicious, especially the lamb soup and owner is awesome!
