We had Fish and Chips, Traditional Icelandic... read more Meat Soup and Veggie Noodle Soup. All the food was super tasty, fresh and fairly priced. The broth of the Veggie Soup was amazing, and the fish was way higher quality than is normal for fish and chips.

However, the best thing about the meal was the service. It was understandably packed, and instantly a server made us feel at home and explained the wait time (which was only a couple minutes until seats opened up). Then, they gave us candy bars as we waited (briefly) for our food with the express directions that we could not eat them unless we finished our food. This lovely “extra” not only was enjoyable to eat, but really made us feel like family. After the food arrived, the owner came to make sure the food was good as well.

I haven’t felt this warmly received at a restaurant in a long time, especially as an obviously foreign tourist. The entire meal was just wonderful.

Go here. You won’t regret it.

Service was quick and friendly, and the outdoor seating on a pleasant June evening made for a perfect experience.

Since we work... read more as crew on a cruise ship and have seen many ports and many different street food shops, we have been to some really good ones and some not that good. But to be honest, this was the best one yet!
Yesterday, when we docked in Reykjavík, we went out to explore the city where we discovered this little shop. We were attracted by the smell, went in, had a nice chat with the owner and got our food super fast which we enjoyed in the sun!
Not only was the food amazing but the owner was very friendly and joked around with all his guests which made the whole visit that much more pleasant! Plus he gave away chocolat for free as a dessert that we were only allowed to eat when we had finished our main course 😉 oh and boy did we - stuffed to the brim but happy!
If we ever come back to Reykjavík, we will come back here for certain!
