The price is good for Reykjavík. I like how there’s a small menu, but it just needs descriptions and accurate photos. The meat soup didn’t even say it was lamb, but we found out when discussing with the waitress - it should still be written on the menu.

The sea food soup is wonderful! If you order soup, you can ask for more at no extra charge. A pleasant bonus. My husband ordered the Traditional Icelandic Fish Stew.

  We wandered in 101 Reykjavík Street Food maybe 30mins before closing. We were greeted by the most cheerful and hospitable gentleman and told to sit wherever we’d like. We ordered... read more fish and chips and of course some Icelandic meat soup. Everything was made fresh to order (of course the soup was already cooked in a nice big pot.). The fish and chips were crispy and fresh, came with all kinds of sauces and was perfect. The soup had awesomely develop flavors and stayed piping hot the entire time we ate. Our lovely host chatted with us often as it was only us and another couple eating at the time. We never felt rushed even though they were closing soon. It felt very warm and homey and we’d love to dine there again for our next fix of some Icelandic street food! Highly recommended.

however for what it is, its decent fast food, maybe even a notch above, but just that
we got some free sweets/desserts at the end after paying - so that was nice
but....
there is a place next door that is a notch above. (just on the left) 😉

The young man who was waiting on has excellent customer service skills, made us feel welcome and is a credit to the restaurant.
