There was one waitress that took our order who was quite rude but fingers crossed you don’t get served by her!

When we left we were given a chocolate wafer bar for free which is a lovely touch. It’s located on the rainbow street.

Food was OK, nothing special but definitely not bad. I think the lobster soup was the better of the two dishes.
It is quite a trendy interior but the chairs/ tables are cheap and a bit tacky.

Overall we weren't disappointed with the place, but unsure why it has such high ratings and is the second ranked on TripAdvisor.
It is an average to good cafe, reasonably priced and OK food. Definitely nothing to write home about and there are some much better spots for a meal here in Reykjavik.

We were quickly shown the menu which had a few items on and both selected the fish and chips but I also had to try the lobster soup, they arrived a few minutes later after we watched them cook it in the open kitchen. The fish and chips were excellent, it was some of the freshest fish you could ask for, a thick chunk of cod in breadcrumbs with thin fries which seemed to have a slight spice. But then came the lobster soup, amazing is the only word I could think after stepping out of the cold and tasting this spiced soup with chunks of lobster at the bottom.

If you are in Reykjavik just give it a go, inexpensive and superb!
