Seafood is their specialty and they are happy to refill your soup bowl if you wish. Many local dishes are on the menu but it is almost like a Takeaway joint although they have a few tables and chairs but it is like a cafeteria atmosphere. Food tasted great.

The food was served very quickly, tasted fantastic and definitely filled us up for the rest of the day. We even got offered refills for free!

The owner also gave us chocolate bars for dessert for free and gave us one of our three drinks on the house.

To top it off, it had to be one of the most reasonably priced places to eat in the city.

I would say this is a must do for any traveller to Reykjavik

My wife and daughter both had the Fish and Chips, and found it to be equally good.

The owners are friendly and fun and interacting with them made our meal one to remember.

There is a bowl of bite sized chocolates at every table, and our daughters were offered some chocolate each while we waited for seats to become available. The man on duty (I assume the owner), was so warm and friendly and funny. He makes everyone feel so welcome that the whole restaurant has a relaxed community feel.
My lamb stew was absolutely delicious. My husband said that the chicken noodle soup he had was the best he had ever tasted (and from the taste I had I have to agree), and our young daughters polished off their fish and chips in no time, no doubt helped by the promise by the owner of a chocolate bar if they ate all of their meals (we got one too, for finishing ours as well).
Free water is available from a dispenser in the corner of the restaurant,
As we were leaving the owner snuck our daughters some more chocolates, which they loved .
Overall it was just a great experience.
